When the Moon Is Full, Mankind Is One.
On September 29, 2023, the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts came alive with music, culture, tradition and a wonderful spirit of community as families and friends gathered for the 2023 Moon Festival Celebration.
Presented by Seneca Polytechnic, the celebration brought members of our diverse community together to recognize one of the most meaningful traditions in Chinese culture.
For generations, the Mid-Autumn Festival has represented reunion, gratitude and togetherness. Under the full moon, families and friends come together, share mooncakes and celebrate the bonds that connect them. The 2023 celebration carried that tradition forward while also providing an opportunity for people from different backgrounds to experience and appreciate Chinese culture.
The evening featured wonderful cultural performances and entertainment that showcased the talent, dedication and creativity of our community. Every performer who took the stage contributed to making the celebration memorable. Their music, dance and artistic presentations brought the traditions and stories of the Mid-Autumn Festival to life for everyone in attendance.
The event was also made possible through the generosity and commitment of an extraordinary group of sponsors and community partners.
